Reporting into Engineering Manager, we are searching for a team member to join us as Process Mechanical Engineer.

As the Process Mechanical Engineer, your role is to optimize and sustain all manufacturing processes and mechanical systems to ensure peak Efficiency, Quality, and Safety. You will drive continuous improvement by solving complex technical challenges, reducing waste and costs, and maximizing OEE to meet Knauf's production and cultural standards.
What you will be doing
As a Process Mechanical Engineer, your key daily duties will be:
Drive Efficiency: Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts using methodologies like Kaizen and the 8 Wastes to identify bottlenecks, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
Performance Monitoring: Closely monitor and improve Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across efficiency, speed, and scrap metrics.
Documentation & Training: Conduct Gap Analysis, review/update SOPs to ensure compliance, and deliver new/refresher training to staff.
New Processes: Support the setup of new processes for machinery and product introductions.
Troubleshooting & Support: Provide hands-on support and troubleshoot mechanical challenges on production lines.
System Integrity: Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance, focusing on a robust preventative maintenance plan.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Perform RCA to diagnose and resolve recurring process or equipment issues.
Design & CAPEX: Design mechanical systems/production tools (including technical drawings) and support CAPEX planning and execution.
Safety First: Adapt and maintain Knauf HSE policies, ensuring a safe working environment and full adherence to Safety, Environment & Quality standards for all personnel.
What we would love for you to have
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of working experience is an advantage, but fresh graduates with the right mindset are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Language: Good command of both Bahasa Melayu and English.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Strong skills in the Office 365 suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Self-Motivated & Driven: Ability to work independently with a high degree of proactiveness and an inherent drive to embrace a continuous improvement mindset.
