Reporting into Managing Director, Malaysia & Singapore, we are searching for a team member to join us as Client Project Manager.

As the Client Project Manager, your primary goal is to successfully deliver a complex, multi-disciplinary construction project from start to finish. You will ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. You will act as the client’s trusted representative, overseeing all aspects of the project, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
What you will be doing
As the Client Project Manager, your key daily duties will be:
Lead and Coordinate: Act as the client’s on-site representative, managing a diverse team of contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment with project goals. Oversee all aspects of the project, including design, construction, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
Ensure Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, as well as regulatory and contractual requirements. Monitor contractor field operations to ensure quality levels and conformance to contract documents.
Control Costs and Schedules: Monitor budgets and timelines, proactively addressing risks and challenges to keep the project on track. Review and approve contractor invoices, manage project documentation, and provide cost information to support client development decisions.
Deliver Quality: Oversee construction activities to ensure they meet or exceed quality standards. Manage construction contracts to ensure the project remains on schedule, within budget, and achieves the safety goal of zero tolerance. Effectively manage and coordinate design and construction variations.
Communicate Effectively: Develop and implement a communication plan to keep stakeholders, end users, and staff informed of project progress. Document and communicate project change orders in a timely manner to the field and the client.
Provide Expertise: Leverage your technical knowledge and leadership skills to solve problems, make informed decisions, and guide the project to successful completion. Maintain technical expertise by participating in relevant seminars and training programs.
What we would love for you to have
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction, design, safety, MEP, finance, and management, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex civil and building construction projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of construction projects, including reviewing designs for changes submitted to relevant government departments or utility providers. Comfortable overseeing all aspects of design, technical submittal procedures, procurement, installation (QA/QC), site safety compliance, plant testing, and commissioning.
- Project Management Skills: Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP) with a focus on utility design.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in project management and construction estimating software (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft Office).
- Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Additional Skills: Computer literate and capable of managing complex projects using collaborative tools and software.
